In this activity I had to finish off the rest of the story with 8-10 sentences. One day you are walking along the deck of the ship when you hear a loud bang. You start to run as you see smoke coming from the far end of the ship. You run towards the room where your patients are waiting to receive treatment from the doctor. Just as you arrive at the door to their room you hear another loud bang and you…

One day you are walking along the deck of the ship when you hear a loud bang. You start to run as you see smoke coming from the far end of the ship. You run towards the room where your patients are waiting to receive treatment from the doctor. Just as you arrive at the door to their room you hear another loud bang and you turn around to see a huge hole in the side of the ship. You open the door and see the injured patients lying on the floor in pain. You try to calm down the nurses that are screaming at the top of their lungs. The air starts to get thicker and it gets harder to breathe. You and your fellow nurses trying help as much people as you can off the ship. Unfortunately there are no more safety rafts and you are clueless of what to do. The ship starts to slowly sink into the water. The only thing that comes to mind is to jump off the ship. You got to the edge of the ship and leap off. Your life flashes through your eyes as the ship explodes behind you. Fortunately you swim safely to shore.

Week 2 - Day 4 - Activity 2

In this activity I looked at a list of people who had earned a Victoria Cross. I choose one person to read about. His name is Sergeant Keith Elliott. Keith Elliott was a New Zealand soldier who served with the New Zealand Military Forces during World War 2. He was awarded the Victoria Cross for leading his unit in a successful break out while wounded in the chest.

Week 2 - Day 4 - Activity 1

In this activity I researched about to different events that occurred during World War 2. The first event I researched about was the allies declaring war on Nazi Germany. This happened because two days before the war was declared Germany had bombed polish cities and towns. After the Germans failed to retreat from Poland on the deadline the British prime minister Neville Chamberlain announced that the country is at war with Germany. The second event I researched about was the Hitler assassination attempt. At Munich's famed Hofbrauhaus beer hall in 1921 Hitler was giving a speech. When he finished a bomb that was placed on a pillar behind the speaker's platform had went off. Hitler was unharmed but lots of people were killed and injured.

Week 2 - Day 3 - Bonus Activity

In this activity I imagined that I traveled back in time to visit a family in the 1930's. I thought of special gifts I would bring with me. I would bring some clothing, food and games. I thought to bring these things because I think it would be helpful for the family.

Week 2 - Day 3 - Activity 2

In this activity I learned about a huge drought that had hit the United States and damaged all of the crops. It made it a huge struggle for farmers and their families. I came up with three fund raising ideas that I could fund money to help the families that struggled from that incident.
Fund Raising Ideas
Have a bake sell
Have a competition for kids
Have a Yard sell

Week 2 - Day 3 - Activity 1

In this activity I talk about what I do to de-stress or relax. When I get stressed I usually I read a book, go for a walk or listen to music. I find reading a book stress relieving because It gets my mind off things. In my opinion going for a walk also helps because it allows you to blow off steam. When I am trying to relax I listen to music because I find it soothing.

Week 2 - Day 2 - Bonus Activity

In this activity I read about the flight across the Tasman from Australia to New Zealand. There were a four man crew aboard the Southern Cross airplane. There was man named T.H. McWilliams that was in charge of operating the radio. Unfortunately the radio stop working shortly after the airplane took off. The ice and rain was blocking the view of the pilot Kingsford Smith. Fortunately they made it across the Tasman and landed safely in Christchurch. After reading about it I to wrote a poem.
My Poem
The snow that covers my windshield has left me blinded
and the radio has stop working were thinking of solutions
so were are all open minded, my heart beat slowly rises
but the terror is now gone the long trip has ended
and were are all finally where we belong

Week 2 - Day 2 - Activity 2

In this activity I was looking at a painting by Tamara de Lempicka called Self Portrait. I found this painting fascinating because there is more to it then what meets the eye. I would give this picture a 4/5 because I feel like there is an interesting backstory to this painting.

Week 2 - Day 2 - Activity 1

Image result for charlie chaplin gold rush

In this activity I watched the trailer for the 1925 Gold rush movie. In the 1920's there were many cinemas being built. They would play lots of movies witch had no sound. The two most famous movies were the Gold Rush and The Lion's Cage both starring a famous actor called Charlie Chaplin. I had watched the trailer for the Gold Rush. From what I got from the trailer I think the movie is about different people that are trying to find a bunch of gold for their own needs. I don't think I would enjoy a silent film because I think you could get a better understanding of what is going on if the actors were talking.

Week 2 - Day 1 - Bonus Activity

In this activity I read a poem called In Flanders Fields. It was about the war and the soldiers who fought for our safety. I found the poem very interesting and captive. This poem made me feel happy and appreciative for the freedom and rights we have now because of the soldiers who fought for our country.

Week 2 - Day 1 - Activity 2

In this activity I was reading about women's rights to vote. I learned that the women in Saudi Arabia were not allowed to vote until 2015. I think it was unfair that the women in Saudi Arabia weren't allowed to vote until 2015 because everyone should have the right to vote. I think this because everyone has their own point of view.
