The Thead School

Orientation
In the early 20’s there was a school built over a graveyard named The Thead school was named after a family who died in 1998, but no one knows why. The principal of the school Mr Kyle had made this school with pride and hated when kids tagged on his buildings. One dark cold night a Mist had covered the school and Mr Kyle was finishing up some reports in his office. The mist grew so thick that you couldn’t see the school anymore. Everything changed from that day on.

Problem
Jason walked through the field of the school to his classroom and noticed the thick fog covering the school, but thought nothing of it. Jason had sat down ready to do work when he was called to the office. Mr Kyle had taken Jason into a dark chamber and locked the all doors. Jason yelled for help but no one could hear him. Mr Kyle lit up the torches along the wall. Jason saw his parents being hanged upside down with acid beneath them. He yelled their names but when he ran to them, they were dropped in the acid and were burned alive. Jason realised that he had stepped on a button that released them into the acid. A wicked laugh came from the corner as he was pushed into a cell with children that have been there for more than 2 years. The children were hungry and smelled like fresh meat. They got closer and closer to Jason while saliva dripped from her mouth.

Resolution
Jason was woken but not eaten by the hungry children. Jason had noticed that Mr Kyle had dropped his phone near the cell. Jason grabbed the phone and called the police hoping Mr Kyle wouldn’t come back looking for his phone. It was thirty minutes later when Jason heard the sirens of a police car. The door broke open in came a swat team. Jason felt safe once again. Investigators found out that Jason’s parents weren’t burned alive, but were kidnapped and hid in a warehouse near the school. In the warehouse they had found a tape that said “ The word thead in the name of the school spelt backwards was death”. Mr Kyle had thought no one would find that out.

Free Rice

This is a donating game called Free Rice. Every question you get right you will donate 10 grains of rice. Here I donated 700 grains of rice to people with no food. Play this game on FreeRice.Com and help stop world hunger. I had learnt more then I expected.

Plastic from Milk

Title

   Aim

  • To see if we can really make plastic out of milk.

Image result for mixing hotmilk

Materials

  • Milk
  • pot
  • spoon
  • malt vinegar
  • Microwave

Method

  1. Pour the milk into a pot
  2. Pour in some Malt Vinegar
  3. Boil the mixture into the microwave
  4. Mix till there are chunky pieces
  5. Take the chunks out of the microwave
  6. Squeeze out all the milk from the chunks

Results:

We didn’t get the results that we expected.

Image
Explanation

We took no photos but it looked like white melting chocolate and felt like sticky play dough.

Conclusion (What do you think happened?)We think that we did not have much monomers so that’s why we didn’t get big polymers.

Science Planning House

Did we get the results we expected?
No

What did we find out?
(Conclusion)

Tiava and I found out that we did not have a successful experiment.

What will we have to do? (Method)
  1. Pour the milk into a pot
  2. Pour in some Malt Vinegar
  3. Boil the mixture
  4. Mix till there is chunky pieces
  5. Take the chunks out
  6. Squeeze out all the milk from the chunks

Why/why not
We did not get  the result we wanted because we think the milk was not hot enough .

What do we think will happen? (Hypothesis)
We think that there  is no possible chance of milk turning into plastic.

What could we do differently next time?
Make the milk more hotter by putting it in the microwave more longer.
Put it in a try place like the fridge.

What equipment do we need? (Equipment)
  • Milk
  • Malt Vinegar
  • Pot
  • Spoon

What do we need to find out? (Aim/Purpose)
To find out if you can you make plastic out of milk

Square problem

This is a presentation on a square problem that I had to solve in LS1. I had help from a classmate to get the answer.

Venn Diagram

This a photo of my Venn Diagram. A Venn Diagram compare's something to a another thing finding out the differences  and the similarities. I had compared the stories little red riding hood and the wolf and the three little pigs.
